Recently....

I've been enjoying my smiling, giggling, ticklish baby; falling in love with her discovering the world.   Revelling in summer food; chick pea's, chorizo, feta cheese, crunchy radishes; falafel burgers, ice lollies, potato wedges, aioli. Developing an unhealthy obsession with perfecting a date flapjack (I'm on batch number 6).  Note books, amorphous to-do lists, breast-feeding reading. Enjoying bath times in the tummy tub. Loving finally being able to use our cloth nappies (it took 8 weeks as she was too tiny at first- great so far.) Country walks around my parents house; bluebell fields at the farm, a shire horse, summer flowers, blue skies.  Meeting new mum friends. Day trips to the British Museum and The National Portrait Gallery, enjoying delicious lunch at the London Review of Books, drinks at Spuntino's (all with Frankie-Rose!)  as well as just bumming about locally- trips to the park (see video), cafe's and friends houses.

We love the tummy tub, uses much less water and it apparently feels 'womb like' for babies

(One of our trips to the park. By my mister with a friends Go-Pro- oh how I want one!)

Being a mum, being on maternity leave in the summer time, is kind-of nice, you know.

P.s a few of the ropier pics are from Instagram, which i've recently rejoined (Hannshseedsandstitches)

    1. It wasn't massively planned (ahem), but yes, spring babies are the best! pregnant through winter (nice and cosy!) and a new baby in the spring- just in time for the sunshine! (when it shows up, anyway)

  4. The London Review Cake Shop looks wonderful - definitely going to make a visit next time I'm in town. Always refer to your blog for new London spots! Your descriptions of maternity leave remind me of my mums stories of when she was off with me (I was born in May) - so lovely!

  11. Smiling from ear to ear.... actually more of a silly grin - thinking back to my first day trips with my (now nearly 6ft tall - size 14 shoes) big boy.
Glad you guys have got some super weather to enjoy along with bubby cuddles. Awesomeness! :-)

  12. Spring babies are by far the best - my boy was born in October and going anywhere was a nightmare! We're cracking out the cloth nappies this week - my Eco guilt is eating me alive!
Beautiful pictures, lovely little lady. And you look fab too! x

  13. How lovely! Your pub pics are reminding me of our first foray with 3 week old to our local for hot apple juice and rum (healthy for breastfeeding mum, no?) Unfortunately it was December 2010 and the whole world was like a giant skating rink and the snow was deep. Summer mat leave looks wicked!

  15. Ahhhhh....lovely post! She is looking fab!! We love the tummy tub too although our little man is getting a bit long for it now - limbs keep popping out of the water. And cloth is fab (although I may have developed a bit of a cloth nappy addiction...) xx

Hello! Sorry to ask you to complete a very annoying capcha thingy, but its the only way to keep the tidal wave of crappy spammers at bay.
